Small bend on part that hangs on tank.

Bought this because i saw that the hanger bend on top had a 1 inch space INSIDE the bend allowing it to fit my tank. Its not. Its 5/8 at the tightest and opens up to 3/4 eventually. Now I have 3 differnt brands that dont fit. Have to hand bend it and it still sticks up a few inches. Other than that it works great.
